Join the Bridge-to-Bridge project for its annual fall cleanup. More than 200 trees have been planted by residents of Old Ottawa South over the past years, as well as native wildflowers donated by the WPP members, the University of Ottawa and the Fletcher Wildlife Garden. On Sunday, we’ll be checking the trees, picking up debris, and controlling invasive species, such as Dog-strangling Vine and Common Buckthorn.
We have invited all the candidates who are running in Ottawa Centre (including our current federal environment minister, Catherine McKenna, and our regional councillor, Shawn Menard). Our friend Simon Brascoupe, the Algonquin elder, will be conducting a smudging ceremony.
All welcome.
