Dr. Victoria MacPhail is an ecologist and pollination biologist with expertise in pollination, from plant breeding systems to bumble bee identification and pollinator-friendly gardening. She has a PhD in community science and conservation from York University, an MSc from the University of Guelph, and a BSc from the University of Prince Edward Island. Dr. MacPhail is the former coordinator of the Canadian Pollination Initiative network and the Centre for Bee Ecology, Evolution and Conservation, helped develop the Native Pollinator Initiative at Wildlife Preservation Canada, and has worked in government, academia, and environmental NGOs. She is a founding member and current Co-Chair for Pollination Guelph, a completely volunteer-run charitable organization that works to protect pollinators and their habitats.
