The rewards and pitfalls of school pollinator gardens

Visit a well-established school garden and hear about its checkered past. Continuity and maintenance of school gardens are a challenge. A Monarch Teacher Network member and a former Hilson teacher will be on hand to talk about the best ways to use a school garden and provide some tips for ensuring success.

We are hoping to connect all WPP members who have created a school garden – and any who are planning to – at this event to compare notes and solve some of the problems connected with school gardens. You’ll also hear about how such gardens enrich the curriculum, thanks to creative and enthusiastic teachers.

Free, but registration required.
